Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM)

T2DM is caused by dysfunction of sugar assimilation at the level of the intestinal microvilli, resulting in disintegration and indigestion of that sugar, while insulin levels are normal. Transplantation is done via 2 routes:

Intravenous: Results are seen after 3 months post-transplant in 50% of patients with a strict low-carb diet.

Intra-arterial: Stem cells are injected via the celiac trunk to the hepatic artery, gastric artery, and superior mesenteric artery. Improvements are seen in 90% of the patients having a low-carb diet, after 3 months post-transplant.

The procedure takes 3 days, with prices ranging from 25,000 USD to 36,700 USD for both intravenous and intra-arterial routes.

The Regentime team is following up with patients who underwent stem cell transplants for years and more.
